  • PED Yellow Trauma Pop-Up Simulations: Low Fidelity, RN and RT Involvement

    • From Katie Smith:

      • I wanted to let you know that several of us will be hosting some yellow trauma “pop-up” simulations in the PED over the next few weeks. These will be very low-fidelity simulations focused more on talking through yellow trauma scenarios, identifying barriers, discussing available resources, and reviewing what to do if a patient deteriorates and requires an upgrade to a red trauma.

RNs working in the PED are encouraged to participate if staffing and patient care allow. RT will be participating, and we may have some provider involvement as well.

These simulations should not be paged out as formal simulations, as we do not need to pull additional resources away from patient care. These sessions are intended to provide focused education and team training for our RN and RT groups.
